Ped Egg Pedicure Foot File, Colors may vary Review.
"IT WORKS..." 2007-12-02
By Tina V. (New Mexico)
In the last few years I noticed that my heels were getting dry and cracked (not acceptable in my book). I used all different kinds of pumice stones and creams with no real success.
On a whim I ordered the "Ped Egg". I followed the instructions exactly and to my complete amazement, it worked! I saw a huge improvement with the very first use. Follow it up with pumice if you need to and some kind of creme or lotion to keep in the moisture.
I have to say that I was skeptical but am really very pleased and happy about the results produced by using the "Ped Egg".
HELPFUL HINT: If you order from their website, they'll offer you "Extras" and charge a ridiculous amount of money for each item. My suggestion is to do as I did and only order ONE Ped Egg (no extras). Because when you get the product you'll find a leaflet in the package that offers additional Ped Eggs with FREE SHIPPING.
"Better than my $50 diamancel file..." 2008-01-25
By B. Caruso (SW Florida, USA)
Ok- first of all I read the reviews here...
This is an amazing product and I hate to see that folks who aren't happy with the decisions they made to buy from random other places are putting negative reviews about this product....(read the negative reviews...you'll see)...
Anyway. I bought this at my local walgreens and it came with 1 pedegg and 2 emery "stickers" for additional smoothing action....And a little form to order more pedegg smoothing/sandpaper replacement stickers...
I have extremely callused feet - so bad that my calluses often make the back of my heels cracked and at right angles... I'd say the thickness of my calluses on the heels (where it is the worst) are around 1/8" thick. Gross.
Anyway- pedegg made quick and comfortable work of removing those calluses and then I used my stand alone smoothing file to finish the job....
I was amazed at how quick and comfortable it was and a little horrified (and fascinated) by the amount of callus dust in the containment area... There were a few tablespoons... It was nasty BUT my feet look better than they have in 6 years of using Diamancel's #20 file (which was close to $50 if I remember correctly).... This clearly did it's job...I washed it after use but I didn't have to stop and rinse it and it showed no signs of "gumming" up during the first run with it- unlike other foot implements that I have had to bang like heck or scrub to finish the job...
And this product seems much safer than the typical callus shavers on the market (and not as scary in concept!)....
I don't think the emery/smoothing sticker things are a big deal- for final smoothing I have a little revlon foot shaped thingy so I don't have to bend more than using this pedegg for a few minutes (I have a screwy spine and a busted hip)....
Anyway- great product if you have nasty feet like me or you like doing the home pedicure thing....
"Great Little Gizmo!" 2007-12-29

I've got really bad feet. Terrible calluses, and heels that get so dry that it was always a toss-up as to which one would destroy my pantyhose first, the callus or the heel. It got to the point that I was putting moleskin on the areas, before getting into my pantyhose. What a pain, not to mention the expense. I saw this little gizmo on TV, and since the price was right, I decided to give it a try. Wow! It really works. It's just like a little cheese grater, but your feet are the cheese. I followed the directions, and before I knew it, those ugly calluses were gone, and my heels were soft. I could hardly believe it. Here's a product that actually does what it says it will. I figure with the money I save on pantyhose and moleskin, it's already paid for itself. This is a great little gizmo. Your feet will thank you.
"WORKS FOR ME!!! BRING TO LIFE DRY CRACKED HEELS!!!!" 2007-12-20
By SATISIFiEd (HARLEM,NY)
This thing WORKS!!! I just gave my mom a little pedicure and her heels were harder than mine. I think this is better than using the blade that the salon use to remove calluses and it is gentle. Don't have to worry cutting too deep. This is people for really dry and cracked feet. soft heels need not buy! good for giving grandma a special treat if you know what I mean!! No it wont make foot look younger but it will feel younger seriously! I can't be any more emphatic! I wish I brought two! One recommendation of when to use this, wash your feet the night before and when your is bone dry, then use the ped egg. I recommend using the emmory pads that stick to the egg because it gives more of a handle when you are manually smoothing your heels rather than using those flimsy thin emmory boards. also, to get the crevices, (for the older folks) you gotta pull on the skin a bit. Works great on callouses my mom had one at the ball of her foot and after 1 min or two depending on how thick it is, and it disappears. another tip: apply some pressure but not too much especially on the callouses. also put a towel on the floor it collects the dead skin but some do fall through crevices. Works as a great prep to avoid embassrassment when you are returning to the salon knowing you haven't been there in a long time or give it to the person who will doing feet before they begin the pedicure. if you use it while your heel is wet the skin will get stuck between the blades. use lotion afterwards to keep it smooth! I am so excited can't wait to use it next weeks to come!!
"Great for in between visits to pedicurist!" 2007-12-30

I love getting pedicures and with my feet, it's something that I really need to do frequently. However, it can get a bit taxing on the wallet.
After seeing the PedEgg on t.v., I was convinced that it was what I needed to keep my heels soft in between pedicures.
On my first usage, I had cracked and dry heels and some dry patches on the pads of my feet. It took about 1/2 hour to do both of my feet, but the result was amazing! My feet are baby soft...softer than even they are after a pedicure.
It's worth every penny...especially since I won't need to get a pedicure nearly so often...actually maybe never. I'll just get them because I want to!
